A baby shower is the perfect way to show encouragement, support, and best wishes to any expectant mother. With her friends and family around her, she can feel at ease about the expectant baby. Even better is when the mom-to-be is given the things that she needs to arrange the nursery so she’s 100% ready for the special occasion. Baby showers are also a great opportunity to get her loved ones together for a fun time of laughing and goofing around.

If you’re the person holding the party, be sure your new mom has either enlisted at a local store or online site to help your guests know what she would like as gifts. Another option to this would be for her to make a list of what she needs, perhaps a baby changing table, a baby play gym, or even a baby stroller car seat. Specify the colors and styles she prefers in the invitations and let the guests do the rest! If she needs a baby car seat, make sure that you ask for one that grows with the baby. If she needs a pram, {suggest|recommend|advise} to the guests a couple of types that will {allow|make it easy} for the baby car seat to be set on it for simple transfer from the car to the stroller. A baby bouncer is an especially helpful gift because it permits mom to do things while the little one is being rocked. The most popular types are ones that have detachable carriers.

Baby showers are known for their goofy games and quirky fun. A game that is particularly entertaining is “You Can’t Say That” such as “baby” or “girl” or “boy”. Another popular one is a baby food game where the guests taste test various flavors of pureed food and try to guess what type of food item it is. A game that is really entertaining as well is to pass a diaper around, just like musical chairs, and the interior of the diaper is a scoop of warm chocolate fudge. This one is sure to get belly laughs from the party guests! Don’t forget gifts for the winning players; it is suggested that you choose girly gifts like bath and body gels or lotions, fresh pots of plants or flowers, gift cards, or a gift bag full of something themed such as “everything for a pedicure”.
How to Decorate for the Big Event
Decorations are always great, because they set the festive tone for the entire celebration. If you don’t know the gender of the baby, choose greens, lilacs, or yellows. It creates a light and happy color theme! The cake can even serve as a decoration; add little plastic clothes pins and diapers, etc. that can be purchased from a party store. They add originality to the dessert table as well as to the topic of the event.
The best showers offer the new mom everything she will need for her new baby. The celebration is also a great time for everyone special to her to encourage her and laugh and have fun. Few things are better than a baby shower being the best party the attendees have ever been to!
